Case study - Website development for e-commerce
Mėlynas katinas is a brand that produces 3D-printed, hand-finished accessories for book lovers: bookmarks, shelf signs, and bookends. A product like this requires a store that feels as authentic as the items themselves—rather than one assembled from a standard platform template. At the same time, it had to handle all the mechanics of a real e-commerce store: a catalog, shopping cart, payments, shipping, and Google search visibility.

The Situation
Mėlynas katinas is a brand that produces 3D-printed, hand-finished accessories for book lovers: bookmarks, shelf signs, and bookends. A product like this requires a store that feels as authentic as the items themselves—rather than one assembled from a standard platform template. At the same time, it had to handle all the mechanics of a real e-commerce store: a catalog, shopping cart, payments, shipping, and Google search visibility.
The Solution
- Fully custom platform instead of Shopify/WooCommerce: We built the entire system from scratch—catalog, cart, review module, and an internal administration system—tailored specifically to this product range, rather than adapting it to a third-party platform's data structure.
- Speed and SEO from the start: Every product page is server-side rendered with comprehensive structured data markup (price, reviews, shipping conditions, return policies). This allows products to appear in Google search results with ratings and prices, not just a plain link.
- Shipping and payments people actually use: We integrated Omniva and LP Express parcel machines along with Paysera payments—two of the most widely used delivery networks in Lithuania and a reliable local payment partner.
- Custom administration system: Instead of a generic CMS, the team received an internal tool designed specifically to manage their products—from inventory tracking to custom orders.
Results
The client received a fully independent e-commerce store, untethered to any external platform: fast, ready for growth, and optimized for search engines from day one. The structured data covers 9 different schema.org types (from product details to shipping policies), and the order flow operates seamlessly through the two most popular delivery networks and a local payment partner.
